The typical user of these products has no finite element analysis experience and is usually a Die Designer, Tooling Engineer or Estimator.  Any of these products, from the most basic FASTBLANK to the most complete FASTFORM ADVANCED can easily process a model from start to finish in a matter of minutes.  This is a fact.

FASTFORM ADVANCED is FTI's most complete product and our best selling analysis software.  Just a few of the important things this product has that none of their other products have are Springback results, Curved Binder and Constraints that can be added to the model.  This product is very nearly as easy to use as the most basic product FASTBLANK.  It can absolutely be taught in a matter of hours to someone with no prior formability analysis.  Of course, FASTFORM ADVANCED also includes showing safety zones to determine whether the part will crack or wrinkle and gives accurate thinning and gathering results.  It has very simple tools for adding pressure pads and blankholders as well as drawbeads.  None of these have to be created first in order to be applied.  This product produces extremely accurate flat blanks which saves several trips in and out of the press in development.  We have proven this over and over again with our own designs by comparing the geometry that we gave the customer initially to the final developed geometry that we received back from them.

A great benefit of this software is its automatic creation of html reports with color pictures of the results embedded in the report that can be emailed to your customer or boss or whoever you want to prove your concerns over models you receive.  When you go to someone with a concern along with a computer generated report backing up your opinions, it carries a great deal more weight than when your opinion is based solely on your past experience.

FASTBLANK is a standalone product that accurately and quickly determines the flat blank as well as helping to determine the formability of metal stampings.  It is remarkably easy to use.  You can have results in less than an hour after downloading, even with no prior experience.  In addition to giving you a printable report showing you the blank size and material usage, you can also print or email a colored graphical representation of the predicted material thinning and gathering.  This might be used to show your customer and or colleagues what to expect as far as formability goes, and lets them know that you are staying on the cutting edge of technology.

BLANKNEST - Material is very often the leading component in the cost of a metal stamping.  Having too much material in the quote can cause you to lose the job, and not having enough can cause you to lose money if you get the job.  BLANKNEST helps you determine the best layout for progressive dies as well as blank dies.  It automatically calculates the best nesting layout to optimize material utilization based on pitch and width constraints.  It works with both one out or two out layouts and can even nest two totally different parts in the same strip, or left hand and right hand symmetrical parts.  The user can print a report providing cost per blank based on calculated results and user input.   Input data can be either DXF files or IGES files.
